When They Were Young

You’re just a kid. Do you think you can grow up to be a gadol?

Well, that depends. Most children don’t have the incredible brain power of R’ Chaim Kanievsky. The diligence and focus of R’ Elyashiv. Or the amazing chesed-filled heart of R’ Aryeh Levine.

But...
What if being a gadol means using the talents you have to serve Hashem, learn Torah, and help Am Yisrael? Then guess what?
You can become a gadol too!

When They Were Young brings you amazing stories of gedolim as children—along with pictures, sidebars, fun facts, and life lessons you can actually use.

From R’ Nosson Tzvi Finkel, you will learn what you can do when your little brother throws a tantrum. Did you struggle with your last Chumash test? You’ll discover how to deal with that challenge from the famed rosh yeshivah and commentator, the Netziv. And if you’re a student who is excelling beyond your class and struggling with boredom, R’ Ovadia Yosef’s story will offer insight into how he approached that challenge.

With interesting pictures of gedolim as children, great stories, and inspiring ideas to make your life (and you!) better, you’re going to love reading about the gedolim, When They Were Young.
