Jerusalem. The Beis HaMikdash still stands in all its glory. The songs of the Levi’im fill the air. Yet beneath the surface, a storm is gathering.

Seen through the eyes of Bruriah, a young mother torn by conflicting loyalties to her family and the Sages, Storm Tossed is a historical novel that brings readers into the turbulent decade that culminated in the Churban (destruction). As Roman oppression intensifies and Jewish society fractures, impossible questions confront every individual:

• Resist—or submit?
• Fight—or wait?
• Trust in human strength—or place the future entirely in Hashem’s Hands?

In these pages we will meet some of the most compelling figures in Jewish history: Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakai, leader of the generation; zealous revolutionaries, convinced of the virtue of their cause; and Roman rulers whose ambition and cruelty threaten to destroy our people and our Temple.

Rich in details and rooted in Chazal (our Sages) and authentic historical sources, Storm Tossed transforms distant history into a living, breathing reality. Through the lives of one family, the reader experiences the hopes, fears, and fateful choices of a generation standing on the brink of catastrophe.
