Popcorn with the President and Jelly Eli Z.

Appropriate for Grades 4-5
Eli Zipperbaum, better known as Jelly Eli Z., doesn’t mind going to the corner grocery to shop for his mother — as long as he can use the spare change to buy the best jelly beans in town at Mr. Joseph’s candy store.
One day, an old man in the back of the store starts telling Eli about his school days with Abraham Lincoln. Eli is fascinated, but he wonders if it’s a true story, a tall tale...or maybe something else? Through this unexpected encounter, Eli gains a sense of gratefulness for his family, history, and the stories that connect us across generations. Join Jelly Eli and his far another intriguing story in best-selling author David A. Adler’s popular series.
