Treacherous Terrain

Treacherous Terrain - A Novel

Antarctica. Endless silence. Shattered by a massive explosion.

An existential threat looms over the frozen glaciers, snowy plains, and icy deserts of the seventh continent. Someone, without conscience, is using the remote spaces of the most unspoiled place in the world to conduct illegal experiments with powerful weapons.

Sarmiento, the Argentinian research station, suffers the consequences of the explosion: one dead within hours; the rest suffering from strange symptoms of poisoning. Is it radioactive fallout? Suddenly cut off from communications, the station is in mortal danger. Three brave men set off on a dangerous journey to call for help — just as a delegation of intelligence agents and researchers sets out to find them.

In the midst of all this horror, Moti Landman and a group of struggling former yeshivah bochurim embark on a fascinating journey to Antarctica, and to their inner selves. Under extremely strange circumstances, Yair, Zevulun, Jonathan, and Chaim are separated from the group and sucked into a whirlwind of events and disasters.

Can the bochurim survive the bitter cold, constant danger, and slew of suspicions?

Who is behind these lethal experiments?

And is it still possible to preserve the last pristine region on the planet?

A standalone thriller from Yonah Sapir, author of the bestselling Agent for Hire and Duplicates series.
